$20 million found under bed

US authorities have seized $20m (£16m) in cash that was tucked under the bed-frame, beneath the mattress of a bed in a Massachusetts flat. The US attorney's office tweeted a photo of the huge haul, which was found in the flat of Brazilian national Cleber Rene Rizerio Rocha, in Westborough.

Mr Rocha was arrested and charged with conspiring to commit money laundering. A judge on Monday ruled that Mr Rocha was a flight risk and held him without bail.

The cash is thought to be linked to a $1bn pyramid scheme involving TelexFree, a company that claimed to provide internet phone services.

Federal prosecutors say the defunct company swindled almost a million people worldwide out of money and say that Mr Rocha who played a part in the international scheme, transferred millions of dollars to Brazil by laundering the cash through Hong Kong. That's a serious scam!
